The following pictures were taken while walking on and around my gorge property.  We own 30 acres boredering the Big Chautauqua Creek in Westfield, NY.  The gorge has a tremendous history in westfield and was exhibited recently at the Patterson Library in Westfield.  It was a focal point for development in Westfield's early days and was known to have several mills lining the banks to harness the water power.  Today, it is mostly privately owned and is used for recreational purposes and for the village of Westfield's water supply.

The video to the right is from 12/27/2008 when we had an unusual thaw.  All snow melted upstream and locally causing the gorge to swell very high as this video shows - Quite impressive!>>>>>>>>>
